How far will your skills take you?

This is what I love about data - it acts like a crystal ball giving us a glimpse into the future. LinkedIn has started to analyze their user base and have established something called the LinkedIn Economic Graph. They are starting to use this data to help cities and countries determine where to put their focus when it comes to skills acquisition. Their data can also help us individually. How? Well it can guide your decisions around the skills you need to look at obtaining. They say: “A comparison of LinkedIn members from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chile, France, India, Mexico, South Africa, the US and the UK, uncovered three trends that held true across economies: a growth in tech-intensive occupations; a decline in administrative roles (including a decline in basic tech support roles); and an increase in “human-centric” occupations like caretakers, entrepreneurs, and creative strategists.” Here is the overview of this particular piece of Economic Graph data. What jumps out at you from this? Would love to hear your thoughts.
