Climate crisis realities changing the way we work

Peter du ToitI'm the founder of FutureWork IQ where I spend my time assisting businesses to design digital workplaces or “offices in the cloud.” These environments enable companies to allow flexible and remote working for their teams. I also teach the digital literacy, fluency, communication and collaboration skills needed to work in these modern technology-rich workplaces.

Over the course of next 10 years or less we need to radically change the way we live and work specifically. It’s interesting to see the initiatives appearing. In this case one which is encouraging academia to fly less.

I am of the opinion that soon distributed work is going to become mandated to help us get vehicles off the road and aircraft out of the skies – at least until we have figured out to how to dramatically reduce transportation emissions.
