Ok. So since late 2015, every think-tank on the planet has been warning of technological job displacements as a result of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
South Africa is NOT immune. Accenture’s 2018 data:
“Our research shows that if South Africa can double the pace at which its workforce acquires skills relevant for human-machine collaboration, it can reduce the number of jobs at risk from 20 percent (3.5 million jobs) in 2025 to just 14 percent (2.5 million jobs).”
There will be more Standard Bank kind of situations across all industries in the next 5 years.
