UK Remote Work

However this is being repeated in many parts of the world.

It’s unacceptable really.

In South Africa, which is dealing with the 501Y.V2 variant — estimated to be about 50% more contagious and has led to a second wave of infections over the Nov-Jan period that dwarfed the first wave in June/July — this is even more of an issue.

It’s almost as if some employers think they can negotiate with the virus 🤷🏼‍♂️

Why would you put your people AND their families at risk when they could be working from home?

If you are finding your remote work experience hard or unsustainable just know this: Remote working has been *very succesfully* engaged in by many businesses prior to covid and during. There are best practices that have been established. There are skills that have been identified as necessary.

Your job is to learn what these are and evolve your workplace accordingly.

In South Africa the vaccine rollout to achieve population immunity is months away. As a result the virus is *very much* still with us and will be for the foreseeable future.
