I'm the founder of FutureWork IQ where I spend my time assisting businesses to design digital workplaces or “offices in the cloud.” These environments enable companies to allow flexible and remote working for their teams. I also teach the digital literacy, fluency, communication and collaboration skills needed to work in these modern technology-rich workplaces.

In the face of where we are, we need to rethink “business as usual.”

In-person events don’t have to be canceled. They can just move to an online venue.

For example Apple just announced that their WWDC2020 will be an online event.

Online events when planned well and expertly facilitated can be highly engaging and encourage human connection. (Even some speed networking as we experienced at this event.)

> No need to meet in-person
> No danger of infection
> No need to commute (land or air)
> Not bound by geographic location
> Drastically reduced emissions

What a win!
