Remote work was set to be a mega trend before this crisis

Back in February of 2016 I shared this video, which had just been released by the WEF, with a group of executives at a business breakfast, during a presentation I did on the future of work. The clip highlighted a future where workplaces allowed for flexible working and also supported remote working.

More than 4 years later many of the executives that were at that event have been forced to get their heads around the concepts that were highlighted in this clip.

Today I believe, as I did four years ago, that it’s smart business to do the work to evolve your workplace into one where your team can work as effectively in-person as they can remotely. Those that did do this work prior to this crisis have not experienced any disruption to their business continuity.
