Remote Worker vs Distributed Worker

I also teach the digital literacy, fluency, communication and collaboration skills needed to work in these modern technology-rich workplaces.

Words matter. This is an observation that Matt Mullenweg has often made when discussing the terminology to use for individuals that work from anywhere. “Remote work” carries with it the connotation of being isolated and disconnected.

One of the cornerstones of a well designed digital workplace is the ability for teams to be able to communicate flawlessly with video because video creates digital intimacy which is essential to feeling connected at distance. Zoom Video Communications does an excellent job facilitating this!
