Did you know research shows that when we use text communication we exchange on average about 740 words, whereas with verbal communication we use about 1,740 words.
 
That is approximately 1,000 more words!
 
Text is important obviously but when you need to have a meaningful more nuanced exchange that can’t afford to be misunderstood with a virtual colleague, turn on the video camera and have a face-to-face conversation.
 
This will ensure that what you really mean to say is not lost in translation.
