I'm the founder of FutureWork IQ where I spend my time assisting businesses to design digital workplaces or “offices in the cloud.” These environments enable companies to allow flexible and remote working for their teams. I also teach the digital literacy, fluency, communication and collaboration skills needed to work in these modern technology-rich workplaces.

Extreme Weather

Every scientific paper that has modeled the impact of a heating planet has predicted this scenario for our region – extreme temperatures, reduced rainfall (we have had our skirmish with Day Zero) and ecosystem collapse.

This is all DIRECTLY linked to the energy choices we make everyday.

The choice we make on how to power our offices
The choice we make whether we need an office in the first place
The choice we make to commute
The choice we make to fly

Basically if our revenue generation is linked to burning fossil fuels then we are part of creating this scenario.

This decade we MUST find ways to decarbonize our operations. The current disruption from the coronavirus will pale into insignificance when compared to the devastation and disruption caused by environmental collapse if we don’t act immediately.

We have reached the 11th hour.
