I'm the founder of FutureWork IQ where I spend my time assisting businesses to improve their climate literacy so as to understand the projected impacts from the expanding climate crisis and how to adapt their workplaces in the face of these impacts.

That just makes no sense. Here is the thing the commute of hundreds of millions of people can be ended by adopting different ways of working.

1) We have the technology
2) We have the know-how
3) Remote work best practices are known
4) Virtual work skills can be acquired

Covid mobility restrictions have conclusively shown us that not commuting has saved hundreds of hours normally wasted in traffic. Take a look at the data:

Global data from INRIX

Besides the hours saved from not having to sit in traffic, billions of $ have also been saved in travel costs as well as improving health by reducing commute stress and making city air much cleaner and safer to breath.

To go back to a daily commute when we know we can do better makes absolutely no sense!
