I'm the founder of FutureWork IQ where I spend my time assisting businesses to improve their climate literacy so as to understand the projected impacts from the expanding climate crisis and how to adapt their workplaces in the face of these impacts.

Old fashioned

1️⃣ Technology has all but rendered the office obsolete. Having a physical office is now considered a luxury not a necessity. With a well designed digital workplace or “office in the cloud” teams can go to work from anywhere they have a stable internet connection. No commute required.

2️⃣ We have changed the way we communicate. Large swaths of our communication has moved online. We now communicate with pictures, text messages, emojis, voice notes and video calls, none of which require us to be in a set location. (As a side note: many *already* communicate this way with colleagues even when they are in the same building!)

Work is no longer a place you go to, it’s something you do, from anywhere. Does your workplace reflect this modern reality?
