Why we risk being caught off guard

As ever increasing climate chaos is making adaptation critical, these barriers are standing in the way of the needed adaptation:

• limited resources
• lack of private sector & citizen engagement
• insufficient finance
• low climate literacy
• lack of political commitment
• limited adaptation research
• slow and low uptake of adaptation science
• low sense of urgency

We are going to get caught completely off guard!
