Working smart in South Africa

With the decisions by the rating agencies on Friday the cost of doing business in SA remains high.

The economy’s growth projection for 2018 has also been adjusted down.

For businesses to survive the downturn it becomes essential and prudent to find ways to become leaner, more efficient, and to cut operational costs where possible.

One way to do this is, without question, by taking a very close look at how you can use technology to accomplish the above. Building a digital workplace that then allows for flexible/remote working is smart. It’s the way many businesses in the US and Europe survived the 2008 financial crisis.

This new way of working is a mega trend anyway as outlined in this MarketWatch interview.

Smart South African businesses are beginning to evolve their workplaces accordingly in order to not only be in line with global trends but also to adjust to the economic realities playing out in SA.
